The Bride
Magen allen
Magen grew up in a rural town of 600 people called Pateros, Washington. For her undergraduate degree she studied poverty reduction strategies with 15 students and a few professors through Costa Rica, Taiwan, Thailand, India, Turkey, China, and South Africa. She completed her undergraduate thesis in Brooklyn NY, where she stayed and worked in the non-profit sector. In 2018 she left that field to begin her own digital marketing agency called Radli, where she now helps mission-driven businesses achieve their most ambitious ecomm goals. Of all the wonderful things that have come from the decision to stay in NY and build a business, meeting and falling in love with James and Sheba were the best by far.
The Groom
James Lennon
James (Jimmy) grew up in West Babylon, New York. From a young age he was a passionate sports fan despite having the great misfortune of rooting for the Mets, Knicks, and Giants (aside from 2 great years). Jimmy studied biomedical engineering at Stony Brook University and then went to California for graduate school. It was there that, like a caterpillar entering their cocoon, Jimmy underwent a metamorphosis into James. James came back to New York in 2019 where he settled in Brooklyn and ultimately met the love of his life (Magen or Sheba, depending on the day). He now works for a biotech company that develops therapies for rare diseases. When he’s not working, you can probably find him at an airport heading to his next adventure with Magen.
